McGreevy Engineering has been announced as a finalist in this year’s prestigious First Trust Business Eye awards.
The manufacturing company, based in Belfast, has been shortlisted in the Family Business of the Year category, previously won by companies including Mash Direct and Wilsons Auctions.
Established in 1980 by Ignatius McGreevy, McGreevy Engineering has experience in many sectors, primarily the energy and automotive sectors. In January 2017, his son Aaron took over the running of the business, making the decision to diversify into other sectors, mainly the global aerospace sector.
This move paid off for Aaron and the team at McGreevy Engineering. The company acquired the AS9100 accreditation and SC21 Bronze Supply Chain award, both imperative for success in the £31 billion industry, as well as working with organisations including Invest Northern Ireland and the Department of Trade and Industry to exhibit at events including Farnborough Air Show, Aircraft Interiors Expo and the Paris Airshow.
Through their participation at these trade events, McGreevy Engineering secured impressive contracts. Seen as punching well above its weight within the Northern Ireland aerospace sector and with recent investments in innovative technology, the company is future-proofing itself to accommodate further high-profile contracts.
McGreevy Engineering will be in attendance at the First Trust Business Eye Awards Ceremony on Thursday 28th November at the ICC Belfast.
